Where do you get your load?...

In the Philippines... the term load does not refer to illegal drugs... or anything that is referred to as negative in other countries... Load simply means pre paying for a wireless phone connection use... such as call or text... Being the leader in terms of the texting industry... anyone can get a load that will suit his/her lifestyle and budget... and for as low as 10 php (around .04 cents) one can make unlimited text the whole day... So it is no wonder why even the simpliest Filipino of whatever age can be seen with head bent and facing the cellphone... and texting with gusto... but the question is... where do you get your load?... do you go to the nearest Sari Sari Store... to the mall... or depend on others for Pasaload?...

Though I don't really avail of those all-text promos or even frequent on getting my mobile phone loaded with credits, I usually go to a variety store to purchase credits for my phone. Sometimes, I ask my father to send me credits too in case I really don't want to go out and have myself loaded... (^_^")

I also do not like going out just to get loaded... so i have a post paid phone... but i just bought this pldt sim... which needs to be loaded so that i can make cheap calls to pldt landlines... so i bought my own retailer sim card... i just load the retailer sim through my smart money... so no need for me to go out just to get loaded... since i can do that in the comfort of my own home anytime... Thanks for the response...

I used to get mine in any sari sari store or in the mall. Most of the time, my boyfriend is the one buying me a load online as he's in US. :D It's nice though as he buys the 1000 load. cool huh?

Why don't you just use Chikka... since you do not need to pay anything if he send's you a message... but it would cost 2.50 php... i you will be the one to send the text via chikka...

Hello aseretdd, Well, I didn't understand the title of your discussion! I always get my reload online. I am using internet banking and at the end of the month, when I get my salary and busy settling my utilities bills online, I will buy my reload too. It has many choices - either RM10 (last for 10 days), RM20 (last for 2 weeks), RM30 (for a month), RM60 (for 2 months) and RM100 (for 3 months). I always get it for the ones that can last at least a month or two. I seldom use my cell phone and so, I don't need too much. P.S. RM3.70 equals to USD1

Good thing there is internet banking... makes our lives a lot easier... because we can pay bills inside the comforts of our homes... i have a post paid line... so i don't really need to reload it... but my parents and brothers don't... so they would always text me to give them some load... which they will pay when i go to their house... Thanks for the response...

I get my load either from the convenience store nearby or from my mom. My mom sells eload and autoload but I don't like asking too often because I should be able to afford it on my own :) Thanks for the response on my discussion!

Well, you can just pay her... that would certainly help her business... my only customers are my mother and brother... and they pay me during weekends... not too much... but at least i still get a few hundred pesos every month from that... Thanks for the response...

I get it from the convenience store next door - from MiniStop :D Often, my mother gives me load for free (or I ask once in a while, she doesn't mind). I have a Globe number and a Sun number. I have a Globe for everyone else, and the Sun for my family - we call each other for the smallest things :D It's fun! Thanks for the response on my discussion!

That is indeed a great business... my sister-in-law used to be a dealer but stopped because she got overwhelmed by huge demand... i am also starting that business of my own because i bought a retailer sim... so if you need smart eload... i accept moneybookers payment... Thanks for the respnse...

I usually buy my load. I used to have a post paid line with sun and my brother pays the usage of it. But then it became inactive because my brother refused to pay it.

I used to have sun too... my boss subscribed to that 3 lines for 999 php per month... but it was such a pain making calls... since the service was not always available... so we just switched to smart... so i understand why your brother refused to pay it... Thanks for the response...

I live in a condo with complete amenities and facilities..I don't need to go out to buy prepaid card or eload because there's a 24 hour convinience store here.. i rarely load my mobile phone as i already have our internet connection at home, meaning, i can get to communicate with my family and some close pals here and abroad..

Hi there. I used to get my load at the bakery across the street but, since my sister started using G-Cash, I usually go to her for loading, since I think she gets a 10-15% rebate every time she loads any cellphone through G-Cash. I'm currently looking into registering my cellphone with BPI express online so I could load my phone directly from my bank account. It would be cheaper, too, since BPI is also offering rebates for such arrangement. And yes, the minimum amount of load needed for unlimited texts/calls seems to be getting lower and lower every day. No wonder we're the texting capital of Asia.

Seems like more people are into globe right now rather than smart... i bought a retailer sim for my personal use only... but my father and brother would always send me a message asking for load... so i decided why not just go for it... i think you are making the decision in linking your phone to BPI... since the rebate is already a big deal for frequent cell phone users... Thanks for the response...

I usually got my load from call and text card. But sometimes I also buy loads in stores with loading stations or sometimes I also ask my friends for some Pasalod.

I used to do that when i still had my prepaid sim... but now that i have my post paid... friends and family would sometimes ask me for pasaload... but now that i have a retailer sim... i can just easily load their sim... but they have to pay up of course... Thanks for the response...

i go to the store to have a load. my husband sends loads to our kids' cellphones through Pasaload.

Good thing loading is very common nowadays... but i think pasaload is somewhat impractical... because my husband used to get pasaload from my postpaid... and the bill was quite high... By the way... i have a retailer sim... if you need smart e load... i accept moneybookers payment... Thanks for the response...

That is a pretty amazing price! I have a Helio Ocean SmartPhone and pay a monthly fee for unlimited text, IMs, email, etc. It does voice, too, but I make most of my calls from a smaller phone and that one I load just about anywhere, but we only have to do it once a year. The little one can do text but it costs half as much as a phone call, by the minute.

I currently have a postpaid line... and the monthly bill is really not that bad... but i just purchase another sim card when i can send load to others... and they call that the retailer sim... not really for business... but for saving purposes... since i bought a sim that enables me to call landline phones at 1 peso per minute... that is like .004 cents... which is definitely not bad... Thanks for the response...
