what are the best toys for children?

some times i begin to wonder if really what the child plays with can have an influence really on him as the psychologist have said but children love a partiular toy and sometimes you find it difficult taking it awy from them in that case what do one do about it and how can one really train a child in the way it should go when the child has his own intres?
