What position do you sleep in? Left side, right side, front or your back?

Sleeping - Homer Simpson sleeping.

I almost always sleep in my sides. Mostly my right. So much so that my shoulder is sore in the morning. What do you sleep on your back, front or sides? I read somewhere that sleeping on your front is hard on your back. I believe it too because after about 10 minutes on my front my back hurts too much to continue laying there.

I always go to sleep on my side but usually wake up on my back. That always hurts my back so I do not know why my body is so stupid as to do this but it does. I was trained from a very young age to sleep on my right side because I can remember my mom yelling at me to turn away from the TV so I would actually go to sleep. Seems funny now how I used to not understand why she was being so mean to me as to force me to sleep a certain way. Once I was actually asleep she let me roll around so she really was not being mean at all. This is an interesting discussion and brings back some sweet memories. Thank you for starting this one.

That's funny that you end up on your back and are uncomfortable. Just think though maybe you would be more uncomfortable in another position?? Maybe this is the best position for you. Perhaps you do try sleeping on your sides and your body doesn't really like it?? HHHMMM I think it's time for me to stop babbling and go get some sleep LOL!!

My favorite position to sleep is on my stomach. I laid on my side so much when I was pregnant with both of my kids I couldn't wait until I could sleep face down again. I get the best sleep that way.

The congestion thing makes sense. If you can't breath properly on one side the other side is preferable I am sure!!

I sleep on my side since I have a bad back. Unfortunately for Shelly, I tend to change sides a lot during the night. I stay one one side until I realize I am in pain and then I switch sides. I have no idea how many times during the night I switch, but I'd guess it is a lot

So you roll around alot. Sounds familiar my husband does the same thing. I only get about 1/3 of the bed at most!! I just to try to not get rolled upon. LOL

I know that feeling. Some nights I wake up and find I am almost ready to fall off the bed! Seems like I move and then Shelly moves too so that she will be close to my body. That's what I get for moving so much I suppose

Yes I can only manage to be on my back for a short part of the night because it is not comfortable either.

Hello Sketcher. I love to sleep on either side. I don't always sleep with the same gesture on bed unless I am asleep.

I sleep in all positions. I am not sure which one I sleep in the most. My bed is so big and comfortable I just sleep all over it. I guess I would have to record myself to really know how I am sleeping.I am a firm beliver that sleeping on your stomach can be hard on your back because for most people that is a flat body arch and some people may already be experiencing a back ache due to other complications. I do not drink alot of water so therefore this begins my complications.

Well I guess if you wake up in the same position quite often then that is your favoured side.
