What if you took a discussion that you probably didnt think you did justice to and modified and reposted it.Mybe change the heading because I believe this is sometimes a turn off for many persons it just doesnt grab your attention,so I'd give it an eye catching title .Secondly give the discussion from a new perspective while keeping the topic the same.Thirdly ,find examples maybe use a story to illustrate and reinforce the point.
Is that still the same discussion ?

Personally I do not think it is cheating if we recycle a discussion which has been modified as you have listed down. After all there are similar discussions started by various people. While it cannot be denied that there are dishonest people rehashing other people's ideas the fact is many people come up with the same ideas or questions. Technically a topic which is discussed from a new perspective can be considered as a new item, or a sub-topic.

I feel it is still the same discussion unless the earlier one is deleted .
I wish we have deleting privilege for our own discussions so that we can
delete (or close) our discussions and we can start the modified discussion .
