This is amazing! Talking Parrot Saves Toddler

I've never owned a talking bird, no. I'm not really a bird kind of pet owner. I rather prefer dogs, myself. However, in this case the parrot seems to have displayed a protectiveness towards the family and a certain understanding of grammar. That is, I say the name of the person I want to hear me and then I say the word for what is concerning. It is as if the bird were using language with intention instead of as a reflex or conditioned response. I find that quite interesting.

That is a good story and a good reason to want to have a talking bird. I would possibly teach it to say..enter at your own risk excuse the mess but the maid is on vacation..lol

I just saw something about this a few minutes ago. Pretty darn cool huh? I would teach it the basics I think. Peoples names and some cute phrases maybe.

Wow! It's so fantastic how a parrot saved the day. It must have more intelligence than usual by the way he reacted to the choking kid. If I have a parrot, i'll teach it to say "Don't worry. Life is so beautiful."
