Every toothpaste seem to claim something different and seem superior - avoid cavities, 'strengthen' bones, make them white, etc etc
Ads are really attractive and the variety available is really wide.
Does it really matter which one you use - are some superior in any way.
I agree that taste and smell vary a lot, but do the ones that say they strengthen teeth, gums and prevent cavities really work and are they superior to regular toothpaste?

Hello pitstop. It doesn't matter much to me as to what toothpaste I use, but it is true that I love to use a different kind of toothpaste when the previous one is used up. I love to try something new as I think that it is better for me this way for my teeth to enjoy a different brand of toothpaste. Happy posting, friend.

I never believed it did, til recently. I had to have a deep cleaning done at the dentist, and some scaling, if anyone knows what that is, its painful, they have to give novicaine to do it because they actually dig down into your gums to get out any crap you didnt get from brushing and such...i use to be awful about keeping up on my teeth til i went for a deep cleaning and seen the difference in how they looked...anyway..they told me to use Sensodyne because i would have some tooth sensitivity to hot or cold after having it done..they gave me a small tube of it so i used it, and never felt any sensitivity, not once. I had to go back for another cleaning a few months later, and this wasnt even with the scaling, because it was a follow up cleaning...well i was out of the sensodyne and they didnt give me anymore so i used the colgate that i had..and you know i have alot of sensitivity pain when i drink cold water now..you would think i would go buy some of the sensodyne but i keep forgetting..lol, it definitely makes a difference...as for preventing cavities i have no actual proof or experiences that say one is diff from the other, only when it comes to the sensitivity issue.
