I hope that everyone would. I just found out recently that my 4 year old granddaughter was taken away from her father because he beat her. Thank God someone noticed her limping and called the authorities. Now we are trying to get her back to my daughter's care where she will be safe and we thought her father could provide a better home. We all need to help children in need, they are too small to do it themselves.

Rather beat you than beat a small child.

Yes. I have no problem with someone spanking their child but there's a fine line between punishing and abusing.

I'm not a violent person, but if I saw someone beating a child, I'd beat the sh*t out of them!

I'm not talking about someone spanking their child, but someone abusing a child.

Ok, first of all I would like to know how anyone can actually do that in the first place. They must be seriously SICK and TWISTED to even contemplate the thought. Saying that, I have a sort-of family member that recently lost their grand-child to just such a person. The person happened to be the father. I can honestly say without a shadow of a doubt, that I would do anything in my power to stop such a person. I am fully aware of the consequences and potential responses and I would still choose to place myself between any child and an attacker. I am sickened by people like that. I personally feel that anyone that wouldn't is a coward. Not just scared, that can be understood. Not going to the aid of an adult in a similar position is somewhat justifiable since you are not really in a better position than them and much more could be done by you calling for help rather than charging in. But a child deserves instant and complete protection. Always. Hope this helps.

Any sane person would step in and stop it. What makes me wonder though, is why start a discussion about this in the first place? Did you see it happen? Did you do it? Did you stop someone doing it?

Yes I would definetly and I would take the child with me and report the person to the nearest police station and call the welfare.Unless it is the parents giving the child a hiding. But if they were beating the child I would still report them to the police and welfare. There is absolutely nothing wrong in giving a child discipline. But only to a certain extend. Not abbusing the child.

I definately would. I have a 5yr old and I wouldent want any one beating on her. I would have someone callthe police first tho then I would go and try to stop the person doing the beating. I would tell them that the police are on there way and that they should stop immedietly. Then if I can I would get the child and try to clean them up and calm down enough to tell what happened. No child should be beat for any reason.

in a heartbeat. That's horrible to do and people like that should experience what it's like to be a 5 year old on the other side of a fist from an adult in my opinion
