It's a website where you can list the persons name that gave you an STD and it's causing quite a stir I checked it out and I think it's a good and bad thing you can look up someone your dating or someone you dated but then on the other side if your name is on this site then that can be damaging to any future dates you might be looking into. If you know about this site have you put anyone's name on there? http://stdcarriers.com/

No thank God I have not heard of the site and have no reason to put someones name on it. Although It does sound like an interesting service. Only thing is how do they know that people are really putting the truth and not just using to damage character? :)

That's what is so wrong about this site is it posts anything and everything the person has on the one who has an STD. I think it should be kept private but then people should know if they have been with someone who has an STD and that person didn't say anything then all it does it spread it further.

The intention sounds good and will help the spreading but sounds like they need some kind of a better check. A better verification of the facts inorder not to damage characters. :) Stay safe and clean. :)

I find sites like this a little disturbing. Basically, because as someone said in an above post, it could be utilized purely to damage somebodys reputation. It's an interesting service, but couldn't something like this be considered as an invasion of the persons privacy?

I would think so and the guy who made the site is probably going to have a few lawsuits from it. The guy who made this site got an STD from someone he dated and she didn't tell him so I think in a revenge kinda way he made this site. After it gets around he is probably going to regret it.

I have not put a name on this, as i have never received an STD because i have always used protection. HOwever i dont think its a bad idea..i think it should be known who has them, since so many lie about having them and dont tell future partners...but in the end if we all used protection, we wouldnt have to worry about such sites. As for the side of it hurting ones chances on dates in teh future...most STD's are curable, so it doesnt mean you will pass it on, besides..again, if they want to date they should be using protection anyway so they wont have to worry about getting it.

You are very right in what you are saying but unfortunatley some people don't use protection and they get in trouble that way. Very good for you to look out for yourself more people need to do that.

This website will bring no good to people. Because it can be abused by anyone else. How could they truly know if the person submitting names there are telling the truth. What if the someone would ask to remove his name there, would they do it, if for example half of the people demands of removing their names there. I think the idea of that website is not good.

There is a way to take your name off of it you have to send a Dr's notice you are clean to a PO box and the guy who made the site will take your name off.

Wow! I had never heard of this site before. I think it's great! I think that people should definately put it to use. There are a lot of people out there that have diseases and know it but don't tell potential partners or people they have been with.

OMG! Is that even legal? I would be careful with that sort of thing as it is undoubtedly an invasion of privacy. Wow! I am not sure what I feel about this. If it something minor it could affect this person's future and their family members. Although if someone had HIV or AIDS and didn't care about spreading it then this site would be seen by many as a public service.

I think that this site can be abused by users wrongly accusing others who are totally innocent. I have my doubts whether this site is legal or not. © ronaldinu 2008

Other people can do what they want but I do not think that spending my time on such a thing is something that I would want to do. Cheers!!

The site is not up as yet and it says coming soon. I doubt its efficacy. it will be used more to settloe scores with people rather than as s site of any benefit to anyone. What if someone puts a name on it just to disgrace someone? There has got to be more to the site rather than what appears on teh face of it. It will only be known once it comes up and is functional.

It can be quite an innovation but it need to be regulated. The advantage is that it may help preventing you from getting the disease if your prospective date is on it .However it could serve as malicious forum for an expartner to damage your reputaion by simply putting your name on yhe list. Therefore I am thinking that it needs to be regulated and monitored for malicious situations like i just mentioned. Finally aids victims have right too and such as publication of their staus coudl easily ruin them especially in a country where aids victims are discriminated

Wow i dont know what kind of people would put it up without keeping all the safe guard.. suppose i asked a girl out and she refused and i to get even put her name here.. and tarnish her image not only would she get any more date but also her reputation would go down in society and no decent guy would come forward.. i dont know if this site should function without all safe guards
