Travian or GaiaOnline?

I used to play Gaia online until one day they sent me a virus. Then I quit playing. I just saw an ad for Travian here on MyLot and am wondering if any MyLotters have been playing this one and if they like it or not. With Travian, you build your own village. That reminds me of the game My Life as a King. Are you a member of Travian? Would you recommend this game and if so, why or why not?
