I love making the once a year specialty desserts for Thankgiving, Christmas and New Years. I'm a cookbook collector just for the desserts and I'm try out one or two for the holidays. Do you have a favorite dessert you would like to share with your fellow mylotters.

I am a diabetic so I thought I was going to miss out on having that tasty slice of pumpkin pie but after days of searching I finally found one that is low-carb and it sounds like it is sooo good. It uses crushed pecans for the crust. You can find it on my low-carb mini-blog at Squidoo. http://www.squidoo.com/low_carb_recipes.

Hi yparson. I always enjoy making sweets for the holidays. Over the years it seems that everyone makes the same things as their "signature" desserts so this year I have had to look thru my cookbooks to find something new to bring. Along with the traditional pumpkin pie I'm always asked to bring I'm going to try out a new recipe I found on allrecipes.com recently. I'm hoping the "crunchy peanut butter balls" will turn out as good as they look. I looked thru the 4 pages of comments from others that have tried the recipe and think I am prepared to get things started tomorrow night after work. I don't want to make them too early but since we're leaving Christmas eve I want to make sure I have at least one extra day to play with in case things go horribly wrong and I have to do something different.
