Maybe some of you already know I own a business and one of the things is also a store. I help sometimes there and also did yesterday evening, when some man came and wanted to buy something.
As I know there is something else that goes with the thing he needed I of course offered that too and he bought it.
Anyway today he waited in the morning for me to open and wanted to return what he bought yesterday saying that I FORCED him to buy it.
I didnt know whether to laugh or what...and I asked him how could I forced him to buy something he didnt needed? LOL
But I didnt wanted to be too rude so I said he can return things and take something else for I cant return the money..and he spent at least 45 minutes in a shop trying to decide what he would buy, so I finally just returned the money and asked him to leave.
Just found the whole thing totally ridicolus, especially him saying I forced him into buying hahaha. I mean really LOL
Is there even a way one can force someone into buying anything???

What was it that you had told him to buy?
I find it hilarious that he waited until the day after to suddenly realize he didn't want what you had advised him to buy. Did he have to ask his wife first or something? Did he have some kind of epiphany in the middle of the night? What a strange guy.
He probably just felt pressured to take the other item though, and didn't want to blame himself for being a wimp and not telling you that he would prefer not to buy it, so he blamed you instead.

hahaha maybe you're right and his wife told him to take it back :)
We sell spare parts. He wanted to buy just the seal but as we also have a repair shop I know he needs also to change the bearings as the seal itself is never seperatly changed. But I offer this to everyone so if someone already have it at home they say they dont need it and thats it. But I still have to offer. All they have to do is say no. So if this men came home and figure it out he already has them at home, he could just came back asking me if he can return it as he doesnt need it, and not saying I forced him into buying lol I just find it funny.

I used to manage a small store for a few years and believe me, we had some strange people through the doors, but I have never heard this one.
O my. I cannot believe the nerve of some people. Have you ever?
I feel so sorry for you. I would of given him a refund too, just to get shot of him.
I hope he does not come back to your shop again. You may hide away out back if he does. People like him will come back. "You forced him to buy it". Sorry for laughing.
Thanks for making me smile. I wish you the best and take care.
If he does come back. Bann him.

If the man needed something else to go with what he bought, you were providing customer service. I know people get buyer's remorse but forcing someone into buying something? It's the customer's decision to buy or not. People can be very strange, and this gentlemen sounds a little strange. Regards

Maybe you're his crush and he just made an excuse just so he can see you again. Maybe he just chose a funny reason to get to see you. Remember you offered her customer service then maybe he mistook you for being too kind to him and given him the "special treatment". Plus the fact that he has spend 45 minutes in your store. That's 45 minutes of opportunity to see you then maybe offer your help again then who knows, he might come up with a better reason now to talk to you.

People are strange sometimes. Especially when you work with people and have your own business I am sure you have met a lot of weird people this way. But lets talk about if somebody can force other people to buy something. I thin it is possible. It depends how clever is seller and how suggestible is buyer.
What happened to me I was buying a hardware to my PC because it was broken. So I wen to a store to buy that hardware, I got the certain model in my mind so I asked for it, I do not know how but it ended up like I bought more expansive hardware then I wanted. I know this is not exactly the same situation, since I wanted to buy that hardware but cheaper one, but it is at least similar:)
Happy Lotting to all of you:)

Nooo thats just what we in business like to call a 'good salesman' hehe.
He did a good job convincing you into buying a better thing. It is actually the same thing, you could also say 'no, I want the one I came for'. But he pointed out some good qualities and at the end it was your decision to buy it.
Oh yes, working with people is interesting...mildly said lol you come across so many strange personality that at the end of the day you have absolutely no dout that you are normal :))
Thanks for your post! :)
