I can't win a Blue Rose on an ebay!

Blue Rose - Its not a very good photo of it as the colour is more violet as it is in nature, but its still a blue rose :)

This is getting funny actually lol I've been trying to buy a plant of a blue rose on ebay for two years now, but never win. Yes i could just 'buy it now' but it wouldnt be fun. But the more time I try the more I get stuburn and wanted to win it. I must have tried it over 10 times but never had luck. I'll try again in spring time hehe Do you win things when bid on ebay easily or are they slipping through your fingers as my rose does?

I usually do win the bid if I have enough money. I do it by waiting until the last minute and than bid more than the current bider. It usually works great and I end up wining the item.

I have lost some bids lately too. They are fun but if you want it enough to go for it two years, I would probably "Buy it now". I am sure then you could find other things to bid on that wouldn't matter as much, win or lose!! Good luck! Blue roses are pretty and rare and I imagine that is why you have trouble getting them. I used to work in a florist and don't remember having any while there. Do they bloom yearly or wonder what makes them so rare?

I will do that eventually too :) But I think because it is so hard to get it it makes it more interesting for me to try. Blue Roses as you can see are not really blue, but more violet. Roses does not have a blue pigment in them and it is very difficult to grow that color. I think it was last year when they made a rose which was very close to blue, but still wasnt blue....uuuu if I had that plant that would be superb :) The blue roses you see in the stores are all sprayed with blue color. It is very difficult to buy those plants and I havent seen them in my country and it'd be the envy of every neighbour if I got it heheh.

I love those roses, that is my colour, over the years I have tried to grow two of them but they didn't last long, i guess I am not a gardener, but they really are a beautiful flower..

Yes I love it too. Its a great color and not many people have it. I must say Im quite lucky with plant, they seem to grow well on my garden, but we do have a bit of a problems during winters as it can get quite cold and some plants cant take it. I sure hope I'll have luck with Blue Rose...If i ever win it heh
