Which shift do you prefer to work? day, evening, night?

My brother and daughter both work the night shift. They go to work around 9 pm and get home around 5 am. My brother drives a vacuum truck and cleans the parking lots at night. My daugther helps him. This job can only be done at night when there are no cars on the parking lot. They both prefer the night shift. I always preferred the day shift, 7 to 3 or 8 to 5. I did not like working at night. Which shift do you prefer to work?

I prefer day or late night. I am a night owl but can't see worth a hoot to get anywhere in the dark..Like I 11-7 would be nice as well as 9=5.. I really never cared for the 3-11 although I actually did this before.

I prefer the day shift and would nto want to work the evening or night shift because I don't drive at night anymore so I can't see at night. My daugther works at night and I keep her 3 year old daugther so I dont' get out at night. I worked the day shift 7 to 3 when my daughter was young and in school. I didnot like the 3 to 11 shift. Thank you for your response, littlefranciscan. Have a nice weekend.

I definitely love the night shift! Because I work at an emergency centre I get all sorts of odd shifts. The one I hate the most though is the 2am shift. That means I have to wake up at 1am to get to work on time! No matter how tired I am, I can never get to sleep before 9 or 10 o'clock so I rarely start on that shift with more than 3 or 4 hours sleep. It sucks! However I really enjoy the 6pm-2am shift because I am naturally a night owl. I can have dinner, go to work, come home and watch tv for a while then go to bed and sleep all day. I love it. I don't really like being woken up by an alarm to go to work. I know it's a fact of life but I've always had night shift jobs and I'm just not used to having to wake up in the morning for work!

I like the day shift the most. Working at night will probably bring in more money, but I find that it's very disruptive to my sleeping pattern. I guess I'm just really used to being able to have the nights for myself. Since I was little, I always had my nights free to do homework or go out or just stay home and watch TV.

It really does not matter as long as the pay is good. I would stick to the shift that pays me the most.

Well for this type of job, I would rather work at night. It is better this time, there is less people and traffic around. But for any other job, I would prefer to work at night too. That way I can have my errands done by the day and I can get some rest before going into work.. I can get plenty of things done, before starting out to work at night.. But, most of the jobs that I have had in my life were day time jobs.. I used to wished that I could work at night.. To me, it would be more peaceful, depending on the type of job that I may have.. But, I would have to be fully awake for a job in the night time, because as of now, I am asleep at night..

I used to prefer night shift because that time is so calm and cool. The concentration on work is very high when compared to day time. But in the point of health it not that much good. But in many of the situations the salary is some what high for night shifts when compared to day shifts. Happy to sharing your views. Happy myLotting.

I was able to work in a graveyard shift for a year and I resigned because I don't like it, right now I work in daytime and I am now in my 5th year in that company.

I of course would prefer day shift, so that I can work in the day time, which is normal, and hanging out with my friends in the everning, having a good and sound sleep in the night.

I used to work in the hospital and found that working on night shift are much easier and hassl-free. Most of the patients are asleep so almost no calls or complaints are made to the station. The staff could finish off the work left by the previous shift or fill out forms that needed to be completed. Day shift's a nightmare, evening shift's okay, night shift's great! Plus, there's the graveyard pay that we get so that's another reason.

i prefer to work at nights.. mostly because i got free downloading at nights. so i would be in front of computer during nights. almost awake till mornings changing the whole scenario of activities. and this is quite good timing. if u r used to it u can surely spend the mornings wisely. and i prefer to work in night shifts. u even gets night shift allowances. so its far better to work at nights.

I like to work at night or at least in the afternoon. My brain doesn't function that well in the morning. I have always been a night owl and I am lucky that in my job(am a writer)I can make my own schedule.

i do not have much job experience but for the two jobs that i have had were both day shift jobs. i do not really mind working during the day or in the evening as long as i am making money. but i know i want to work in the ER when i get older and for some reason i want to work on a night shift. i am always staying up late when i can and i just seem to function better at night. i really hate the mornings!

I prefer working at night, since I feel most productive during the afternoon and evening hours and can barely help myself in mornings. I would hate to go to work and perform badly because I don't feel up to it, so I prefer to work at night. It is also more convenient because then I can do things in the mornings when places are open rather than be at work when I could be going shopping, paying bills and the like.

Since I'm a mother of 4, i prefer working at night, at least at that time my kids are sleeping tight at home, and when i get home, I can still have time playing with them before I take my sleep. Rather than working at day shift, I had less time with them.
