adopting a child and you and mate broke up do i still have to pay child support?

a lot people feel when they adopt they don,t have to pay child support for that child.but didn,t you agree when you recieve the child you would care for the child and support the child what make a person thinks that because you divorce your mate you divorce the child wether adopted are natural birth.how do you feel about this situation do you think he or she should still pay child support are divorce the child like they are divorcing ther mate.

If you adopt a child or children with a mate then yes child support should come into play. That child didn't ask the couple to pick them. When they were adopted the couple at one time did love each other and wanted a bigger family. So yes you adopt the child takes your name you pay the support. If not then you kinda a tacky person. So yes I agree.

You know what they say ignorance is bliss and at times there are a lot of happy people out there. So they only loved the child when they adopted and was with their mate? Now that they aren't with their mate anymore they no longer love the child either? Just means they never loved th child in the first place. People that do not pay child support or don't think thye should have to adopted or not should be lined up and the S%$tbeat out of them. You brought them into the world or adopted them so take care of them it isn't their fault that the adults are to stupid to get along.

i don,t understand why is this so hard for the person to understand and people be agreeing with them saying they are right not to pay child support when i clearly know it,s wrong.

some feel that they are not suppose to continue paying once divored they also divorce the child i feel when you adopt you enter into a agreement between both partys you can,t do this with your biological child how do you think you can do this with your adopted child the judge do treat it the same.

when you adopt that child is legally yours and you are responsible for that child and that means child support should you break up as well. You can't have your cake and eat it too, you can say I am in for the good times and I will get out and wash my hands of that child when things go bad. Children are not things you can just throw away.

I think when you adopt a child it also means you are adopting the responsibility of rearing them. It is just like having a kid of your own, just that you did gave birth to them. It is legally yours so it means you are responsible tot hem even if you divorced your partner.
