Turning 30

I turned 30 last year and my friends and family made this huge deal out of it. I had signs in my front yard saying I was over the hill and everyone kept talking to me like it was the end of the world? Ok well I am 31 now and no one made a big deal out of it? No one made a big deal out of me turning 29 so what is the Big deal about the age 30? Does so much change from 29 to 30 thats does not change from 30 to 31? I will admit 30 is a weird age for me? Sometimes I feel to old to be young but feel to young to be old? I have close friends that are in their early 20's that I share the same interests with and then I have friends in their late 30's I can also relate to but emotionally and physically I do not feel any different at 31 than I did at 29? So do you think turning 30 is a big deal?

Dear Firefly, You are just a baby! I'm twice your age and I still live a wonderfully active life. I had 3 babies after the age of 30! It is just a number and no big deal. The thirties are wonderful; and the forties too. This is your one little life so live it. I have friends of all ages and loads of young friends who visit me. I adore all of them.

I like to think I rock! I married young but lost three babies before having the first child that lived at age 28. God bless baby girl!

I am sorry to hear that, but thank god you have three wonderful blessings now! I also married young and had my children at a young age. My oldest will be driving in a few months!

Reaching another decade is always considered to be a milestone. I will be 45 in April. I don't think it's such a big deal, but when I think of turning 50, I want to make a BIG HUGE deal out of it. I want my friends and family to make a big deal out of it too.

I don't see any difference if you're 30 now. What important is you are in good health and you still think you're 25. Age doesn't really matter. Anyway, are you married now? I look at your picture and you still look young.

i do not think its a big deal at all. im fixing to turn 35 and like you, i have friends of all ages. i think its great that we can be so virsatile with our age of friends. i feel that you are only as old as you act! girl, enjoy the things you know now that you did not know in your 20's and use them to your advantage. i think the 30's have been the best for me so far. have fun and enjoy yourself.
