I really hate falling in line and hate it more when I have to fall in line on restroom stalls. Being a women, this is harder because we pee a lot and much harder when you are pregnant. when I was pregnant with my youngest, I used to ask people if I can go first on the line, most are considerate enough to let me be in front of them, most just ignore me. I really hope they should put up a stall that are design for pregnant women only or that pregnant (specially women on their last trimester of their pregnancy) women are prioritized on this stall, or they can incorporate this use with the handicapped stalls. don't you think so? I know a lot of moms can relate as it is very hard to control the bladder when you are so much pregnant. Another experienced I had, my kids are not used to (they are ages 5 and 3) diapers when we go out. SOmetimes they need t pee and they can't pee alone on men's restroom. I would walk with them to women's restroom, but since they are kids it also harder to control their bladder. Once when we were in shopping place, my kids said they needed to pee, the line was so long and I ask someone if my kids can go first, they said no. CAn you just imagine (or is it just me who is over reacting?) will you let a kid be on the line first? I do hope that public restrooms will cater for the needs of people like them. kids, handicapped and pregnant women. How about you guys? if there is no special stalls in restroom, will you let these (pregnant and kids) people be first on the line if they ask you? or will you tell them that they can go first if you saw that they are pregnant? If in my case and I see some pregnant women on the line I would tell her she can go first as I know how hard it can be.

Many people have problems with their bladder, not just pregnant women. Older women get problems where they have to pee and can't hold it, it's called over active bladder. I don't think it would be right to give pregnant women preference in the bathroom because I think some women could abuse this system, and make it worse on other people who may need to go more than the pregnant woman. I also don't think it's polite to cut in line while other's have been waiting longer. You don't know their situation, they may have bladder control problems, or be on their period, so they may need to get in there just as badly as you do.

Yours is a valid suggestion. I would be considerate towards a pregnant woman. What about carrying a urinal if you can't find a rest room.... or what about doing behind a tree? OH i was just joking. I do hope that people are considerate towards each other's needs and give priority towards pregnant woman.

if it's a pregnant woman or one with a whole bunch of kids,by all means let them go first.they have enough to deal with without the bladder boxing baby's doing. i can and have waited.

I'm very lucky that i'm a guy, and so i dun faced such problems.. hehe ^_^ YEah, woman will always have this kind of problem, and i always wonder, there will always be a long queue in the woman's toilet.. hehe But now i know.. As for your case or any other pregnant woman, the others should give way to u, and let u cut the line because u have every right to do that.. For even on public transport, even the elderly and pregnant woman, gets as much priviledge as a handicapped person.. Thus using a handicapped toilet, should be fine for pregnant woman too..

I agree with you! When I was pregnant, there were many women that saw me waiting on the bathroom, and they will tell me that I can go.. But, there are some people that will not let you go before them, which is very bad.. I had a woman from my church tell me one time, that I could wait, because I have never had any babies.. I was already waiting for about 5 minutes.. And then it was my time to go and she said this to me.. Oh, the nerve of this wicked woman!!! I believe that they should give women, all women that are pregnant and non pregnant the right to at least use the bathroom, if they see them waiting a long time.. If my kids are with me.. I will let them come in the same bathroom as I am in.. My son will come in the bathroom with me, when he did not know how to button up his pants all o the way.. We all should be respected, no one should have to hold their bladder for a very long time.. That can mess up your kidneys like that..

I agree with you... a special stall should be alloted for obviously pregnant women... i know what it means to have to go like every 15 minutes... when i was pregnant with my daughter... i would go restaurants in the mall that i are equipped with their on restroom... but i was not in the mall... i encountered good people who volunteered to give me the first spot... i guess i was very lucky back then... When it comes to children... i wouldn't mind giving them my spot... since they are not that used to holding their pee... and it can be really embarassing for them to pee in their pants... one embarassing moment that can be detrimental to their emotional development...

I would let her go first, however as I get older I have trouble myself sometimes, so I would hope it wouldn't be one of those times!! LOL Usually I don't encounter long lines during shopping, but more if you go to an event or theater or sports, then the line for women is outrageous. I have seen women just give up and go in the men's room!

I have never come across this situation, but you are right being heavily pregnant and bursting for a wee is awful! I would let a pregnant woman go before me as long as I was not really bursting because I have bladder problems and my bladder only tells me I want a wee when it is full to bursting I do not get no warning shots. So when I have to go, I have to go! But if I knew I could hold it then yes I would let them go first.

Oh I don't mind if someone asks to go ahead of me. I can easily tell if it's really important or not. And Filipinos are so shy about asking for things like extra sauce in a restaurant and stuff, so when someone asks to go ahead, I'll usually be okay with it. And I understand that kids can't hold it in because I was a kid myself! So I let kids go ahead too, but that would mean a dirtier/messier stall so I usually try to transfer to another stall hehe.

Oh you are right! I think I've seen one mall that designates a place for disabled in a restroom! I just can't remember where! So pregnant women are qualified to use this space for disabled as well. I understand you my dear. It's really hard to control your pee when you are pregnant and the kids as well. When I saw children on the queue I always give way to them. I have a soft heart for children much more for pregnant and oldies. Even in the bus, I think there should also be a ready space for them.

It's hard to be waiting in line when you're feeling very uncomfortable. Fortunately though, I could hold my water in for as long as I could. There are times too when I feel the first pangs of wanting to pee I quickly goa nd find a restroom so that I wouldn't have to be uncomfortable that long. I haven't had any experience though at finding myself in front of a pgrenant lady. Right now I'm pregnant myself so I don't go out that much or if I do go out, I make sure I know where the restrooms are and time myself to visit it at about 30-1hour so I dont have to be way behind the line when I can't hold it much longer.

If Im not having some emergency of my own I gladly allow others in front of me, normally with younger kids I will allow them if possible. I have been known to allowe others in front without being asked. Been pregnant 6 times and have 7 kids so I know what it is like. Right now I am potty training the 8th child and it isnt any easier then it was 13 years ago! lol This one is our grandbaby that we have guardianship of but all the same just as hard.

my sister just gave birth 2 months ago. during her preggy months i always tell her to go pee at the toilet made for handicap and for changing nappies. there are toilets at the mall specially for them so i insist her to use that specially when there are long queue of women at the toilet. so i think there is nothing to worry anymore if pregnant women or those who have children to be first on line. in case i see pregnant women on line then i let them pee first, i experience being first too during i was the one who is pregnant, i even was granted seats at the bus or train during those years.

Oh I definitely will. Unless my bladder is about to burst already. You know, the one wherein you already "dancing with joy" while waiting for the person inside to get out. But of course I will tell them that I really need to go inside but I'll probably ask the person after me to let them go first. I experienced being pregnant so I know. By the way, I think old women or men should also be included in the list. Especially those who are at least 60-80 years old. Their bladder are much weaker than the younger people.

I think my response is the same as anyone else -- if I'm not about to pee down my leg, then sure, you can go first -- but I think that having to pee is having to pee. Every creature has to pee, some worse than others, at some point. We can't create a specific bathroom for every situation out there -- overactive bladder, bladder cancer, kids, been waiting for 20 minutes, pregnant, etc. Why don't these places just make more bathrooms? I'd pay a damn quarter if I knew I wouldn't have to wait to pee for 20 minutes.

I could still let them go before me as long as I can still hold it. But I guess I am old enough to hold my bladder than kids.
