Why is everything on this site..

Why is everything here done in small letters? I don't understand. I know that I'm less likely to join sites that don't use capital letters than sites that do. What about you? This is the first one that I've seen that uses small letters, actually. Capitals are more professional and give an overall cleaner look and feel - why is myLot not done like this?

To many people if you type in capital letters it is like you are SHOUTING. And many people find it rude and aggravating. I know when I play games on pogo.com and someone in the chat types in all caps everyone starts telling them to take their caps lock off and stop SHOUTING!.. we only use all caps to EMPHASIZE something. It is more help ful this way to -because you can distinguish from the story what IMPORTANT thing someone is trying to tell you.

I meant capital letters for the first letter of a word at the beginning of a sentence. 'add a comment to this response' Why isn't it: 'Add a comment to this response'?

Ah, well you didn't SAY that.. lol I don't know you will have to ask TPTB (the powers that be) at myLot HQ.

I really don't know. xD It doesn't bother me as much on the 'preview response' and 'post response' buttons, but it bothers me a lot on the main bar, and the interests. I think it would look so much more professional to capitalize the first letter of every word on there. The main reason why I started typing in capital letters was because I joined forums and knew people that typed like that too. =P (I don't mean capitals as in "HOME, INTERESTS, DISCUSSIONS, BLOGS..." because they are interpreted as shouting, but capitals as in "Home, Interests, Discussions, Blogs...")

When you write a formal letter do you use only capitals? I very much doubt you do, it does not look professional. We have all learned when to use capitals at school and I dont see any reasone why would we have to write differently here then when we do handwritting. Besides words written in capital letters on the internet means you are shouting and thats just plain rude.

Oops sorry hehe I just saw I missunderstood the whole thing LOL Actually if it said Add a comment to this respond, then a dot at the end would be nescesarry I think, otherwise its not a sentence.

I know what you meant I was just too quick with my answer. MyLot do use proper letters when having things written in a sentence, just look at this one for exapmle: Please be as descriptive as possible. :) All the others, when just writting words its up to the taste I guess, I preffer small letters, obviously mylot makers do too.

I was giving an example of using capital letters only, and it would look weird with a full stop anyways. =P Zezloler gave the exact example I was going to use for this comment so yeah.. that's really what I meant. xD
