It seems that the ingredient thiamine in the dark chocolate seems to increase the blood flow in arteries in certain people.I just love them and I haven't had any problem with them so far.

My father has an a-fib. He should not eat chocolate because it can cause his heart to act up. I think that in has case, it has a lot to do with the caffine in the chocolate. He has found that foods that are not caffine free tend to give him more palpitations than those that are not. I do not think that they make caffine free chocolate, but it is something that you could look into.

yeah i figured that out too. it is the caffeine in the chcolates or in any other food that gives palpitations..

No I can't say I have ever had palpitations from eating chocolate. You poor thing, how distressing! It could be because you are eating late at night, we are not supposed to eat after about 6.00 - 7.00 p.m. and certainly not complex carbohydrates which will be too much for the body to handle. If it persists, perhaps you should seek medical help?

I usually get palpitations when I take too much caffeine so I make sure that I don't eat too much chocolate or drink too much coffee. However, I try to eat dark chocolate regularly because the right amount of it in my diet helps me avoid migraine - I read about it and tried it for myself and was surprised that it worked because caffeine supposedly triggers migraine. Thanks for the comment on my discussion!

Be careful may be you are eating too much or maybe you are eating it some coffee and you drink a lot of coffee. A lot of caffeine you get. A lot of hearts. Hope you find the solution because we can't stan chocolate.
