i am more than 4 months pregnant now. but since a couple of weeks back, my husband and i have been visiting second hand bookstores that sell books that are sent from the united states. so we got really good bargains on really good books. some cost lest than a dollar. so we were very happy. we already have a book of bible stories, a fairy tale book in its original version, and some other compilations. we wanted the compilations so that we can have several stories in one book. i think we already have six books in all. we have started reading to the baby in the womb because by this time, he can already hear us talk. it is our bonding time with him. do you also buy books for your kids? do you buy new ones? or like us, you look at book sales? take care all and God bless you! :D

I bought a baby book during my first trimester. I also bought my unborn son books before he was born.

My kids are all grown now and we have five grandchildren, but we have always purchased a lot of books for our children, read to them, and encouraged them to read when they were old enough. Generally, we purchased new, and once they were in school, they sent fliers home with them from which you could purchase books for a reasonable price. We also traded books with my sister and her children, and borrowed books from the local library. We often gave books to our children and to the nieces and nephews for birthday and Christmas gifts.
