Saliva Stones?

A friend of mine at work says her husband has been diagnosed with saliva stones!He has one so large it has to be surgicaly removed!She tells me it's like a kidney stone except in the saliva glands in his mouth!It's directly related to his calcium intake.Anyone else ever heard of this or have personal experiance?

Hi JenInTN!! welcome to mylot! i havent heard of that.. just right now, i didnt know that, that kind of disease do exist.. so where are the saliva stones formed? and what is the cause and effect of this? is this such dangerous as the kidney stones?
