What do you expect from a friend ?

I have known many people through the years and thus far have been very lucky with the friends I have known, epecially someone who I have known four years quite well .I had to give up work with workplace depression, a year later I started up with sciatica in my back ,so I was stranded husband at work all day and son went to school but this particular friend came round every and cared for me,hoovered up peeled veg ect and stayed till my husband came home,she came in twice a day, I told her not to as she had her autistic son to care for but somehow she managed to fit everything in saying I would do the same for her and yes I have done so in the past.At the time my mother developed brain cancer and thankfully she did not last long, upset as we were , no one should suffer like she did. My friend still came around again and would not leave me until she was certain in her own mind i would be alright and she put up with me and took no notice of me at all, have you been as lucky as I have been with her,other friends work and have kids so they came round when they could or rang me up ,but this particular had the time and spent most of it at my house until I was better and could cope on my own.I will always be grateful to her.

Expectation is one thing which is a common for every human being but the most important part is that we go with everyone we meet with some kind of an expectation but for sure there would one person whom we move closely we tell everything we share our thoughts in return we don't rely expect anything,a true friend is one person whom we don't expect anything but rather a true friend is one who knows our expectations and takes care of us in crunch situations solves our problems and most importantly he does the things which our heart wants to do,according to me I do have my own expectations with my close buddy but i rely don't tell him rather he doesn't let me tell cos he knows what i want from him the same thing i too do,the basic thing is what is expected of a friend is love,caring,affection and most importantly parental care.

I was told about two years ago that I had bipolar disorder. I was in a denial but non denial stage, and lived with friends. I happened to also live with another bipolar person, a friend's sister. She really didn't help me much when it came to understanding my feelings and such, and my friends weren't really that helpful either. I would explain something to them about the way I felt, and yet I was wrong in the way I felt, I wasn't understood. Her sister was diagnosed about the same time, and everything that happened with her was understood. I think it's because they first heard from her and then from me, and therefore they thought one bipolar was the same. Just like the length of a pinky, not every person with a mood disorder is the same.
I ended up stop being friends with them not to long ago and I truly think that I was only friends with them for so long, because that's the way god had me meet my soulmate. Your friend sounds like a real angel, and your lucky to have her!

Yes and thank you so much for your reply and don't worry I realise how lucky I am . In the process of making her a christmas cake,got to put marszipan on it and ice it for her take care sweet heart if you need to talk come on here and you can tell me how you feel send me a message .take care suzzy3.xxx

Its good to know that there are still people like your friend. Well, we all know that true friends are hard to find. Ive pretty much friends who were just there if they need you, but would disappear if your the one in need.
So my advice is, take good care of that friend, and dont do things that would result of you losing her :) treat her like a diamond that will last forever.

You have a true friend. Wish your friendship last long. For me, the trust and encouragement from my friend are very importment. When in my tough time, I feel happy when some friends stand behind me. Thanks!

Wow very touching story ,that is a true friend,I shouldnt even have to say that because all friends are suppose to be true ,otherwise they are not friends.My experience has been good so far ,I have never had an experience like yours which would really show up my 'true friends ' but I know a few who I think would do the same for me.
I wont be naive though and pretend all who I call my friends would do that for me.Some wouldnt because they couldnt,they have their own obligations.Other wouldnt because I am not sure they care as much.Granted I am not someone who places unnecessary burden on my friend so I probably wouldnt know ,unless it was a situation that was out of my control.
HOPE MY FRIENDS WOULD STAND BY ME AS YOUR DID ,THAT WOULD BE REALLY SWEET.

i got one sms that i will share with u it goes like if u got caught by police a friend will say dude what happend how did u get here , but a true friend along side u will say DUDE we'r SCREWED !!!

Hi suzzy. We can see our true friends only in the bad times. To have fun and laugh everyone is good. But to give a shoulder and cry with us only a true friend. You are lucky because you have a true friend and it doesn't have price.

Friends are the best mate a person can have, and getting a real good friend like you got is the best thing. I think she is taking care of you so well that you will be feeling very comfortable with her. You are lucky in making good friends. But far as i am concerned I made few good friends they are really good and thank god there is no problem between us and them and they are always with me when i need them. I am a university student and 2 of my greatest friends are with me here aborad in malaysia. I really feel great that they are there with me all the time where my parents could not be with me all the time. I expected them to be the way they are.. I hope you will have that friend forever !! Be happy!!

Hi frnds,
I will expect my frnd is good frnd to me,helping to me when i needed,very honest person,very honest frnd to me.
When i was in trouble or in problem he has to solve my problems or trouble in
my life.Frnd is not a just frnd.Iam always cares my frnds but they also cares about me and helps me.
I want a good frnd,frankness,motivate,good attitude,good character.

I really didn't have much luck of finding a good friend. Mostly in my friendship life, most friends I have end up to be someone as a stranger to me especially when they have hurt me or betrayed to me. Somehow I still have friends left and meeting new friends and I am looking for an expectations for a friend as everybody does. Of course you don't want to have a friend to be just their for you in your happy times and for get you when your down. I want a friend the keeps me in their heart. To appreciate the good things and for just being who I am. For accepting me for what I am and no matter they will stand up for our friendship even the test of time or even if we will be apart. I expect my friends to always be OPEN to me in all the things they want to do with me or in what they expect for me too and also to be Open at all times whether they feel bad towards me or I did something wrong or something that made them happy. I expect a friend who will Love me and will be at my side in sunny or rainy days. I expect them that they won't forget me. Though we won't be together always they will think of me and always remember me. I expect YOU my friend to be True to Me and be my True Friend
