Who's your most affectionate child?

Do you have one child that is sweeter than the rest? That enjoys hugs and kisses more than the others?
In my house it would be my toddler. He's always been a very sweet and lovey boy. Before his baby brother was born, when I used to sit him in the shopping cart, he'd spent the entire shopping trip giving me hugs and kisses while I pushed the cart.
He will come up to me at least once an hour for a hug and kiss. If I'm holding his baby brother when he comes up to me, the baby will get a hug and kiss from him too. He also tries to hug his older siblings, but they just aren't all that affectionate. They don't really like hugs and kisses. Even the little baby, who I smother in kisses everyday, doesn't seem as sweet as the toddler did at that age.
He's just my little sweetie! Who's yours?

My youngest is very touchy feely and I love it. My oldest was too until he reached about 9, it was all down hill after that. My youngest is 8 now and I keep waiting for him to go through the same phase. My husband says its natural and that boys just out grow that kind of thing. But as a mom I really enjoy cuddling with them and watching a movie or reading a book. My oldest son does still enjoy bedtime reading, prayers and the occasional bedtime song (if he knew I typed that here he would probably kill me) so I do still get that special time with him.
Great question!

Thanks for the best response- I enjoy knowing and talking with mother who have similiar feelings and interests as I do as a mother. It helps to know you're not alone.
And before this question- I honestly thought I was the only mom who really went through the thinking about my still cuddly child and my once cuddly child. Thanks again.

My toddler is also a very huggy little one. He's sitting on my lap actually as I type, sneaking some extra cuddles in.
He's far more snuggly than I remember my eldest being at the same age, and I sometimes wonder if that is a personality trait or the result of the way they've been cared for. My eldest was at nursery from very young whilst I worked, but my toddler has always been at home with me. I'm not suggesting that nursery wasn't a good option for my eldest, but it stands to reason that it would make a difference, being seperated from me for so much of the day.

I've been home for my last 4 kids, but the toddler is the only affectionate one. Although I suppose the twins excuse could be that since there was 2 of them, I couldn't give them as much attention as I give the toddler. I guess each child has their reason.

My son is the most affectionate. He did not used to be. He was not a cuddly baby, but he is now. His sister is not really cuddly either. She has what my sister refers to a "love on her terms" thing going on. If it is not her idea she does not want a hug or a kiss or really even to be touched.

My older kids are like that. I remember the last time I hugged them was when my youngest was born, and it just felt so awkward. They came to visit me in the hospital and as they were leaving hubby told them to give me a hug. It didn't feel at all like a hug, it was just weird.

I reckon that I would have to say that it was my six year old boy, he has always been loving to me. He likes to be hugged and kissed more than all the others and he will come to me for a love rather than me going to him. My others tend to wait for me to hug them and my 17 year old would rather that I did not bother anymore!

OOOooooo! That is the sweetest thing!!! Live it up, mommy!
My daughter (10) is more affectionate than my son as far as hugs and kisses go. She likes to sit close to people. I notice that she will even hug her friends. I was not like that at all. It's good to see.
My son (14) was never one to hug or kiss. When he was little, he would let me give him a little squeeze and them wooooosh! off he'd go! Now that he is older though, he will ask once in awhile "hey, mom. Can I have a hug?" They're quick ones but I'll take 'em when I can get 'em!

I have a nephew who isn't in to the whole hugging thing either- but for some reason he loves to hug me and my sister is always asking what I have on him that he likes to hug me- I think kids just pick the person they are affectionate with and in this case its me. I love it, it is great to know he is looking for me when he knows we are coming over and I get the biggest hugs from him.
My sisters oldest son has never been into the hugging thing not with her, his dad or anyone and that drives her crazy but when he does offer that chance- she is all over it. Take what you can get and know that the don't touch me phase will pass too.

All three of my boys were little sweeties at one time but now my oldest thinks he is too old for hugs and kisses and my middle child cannot get away from the 360 long enough for us to know if he is sweet or not lol? But my youngest is still a little sweetheart. He loves to help me out around the house and is always on my toes.

Our youngest child is really affectionate to me but not to her mom. The other two (the twins) are mama's girls and they cuddle with her. Well kind of. They are sixteen now so they do not cuddle. Except on rare situations. But the youngest at 14 she still likes to cuddle.

Our youngest is my cuddly one. Our oldest is kind of too though. If you are sitting down she will come and curl up with you. But the baby does it the most. Ever since he was just a few months old he would cuddle up to you when you held him. And he would hug on to me so tight like he never wanted to let go. Even now that he is running around and playing he likes to cuddle up and be held. I hope he never grows out of it!

My oldest son is the sweetest of my two kids. Although my youngest son can be sweet, my oldest son gives me hugs and loves to cuddle all the time, any time.
For example, when I went to the bank with him a few months ago a customer there saw my son hugging me. She asked me how old he is and I told her that he is 11. She told me that she was jealous LOL and continued to say that her son is 17 and doesn't give her hugs anymore. It made me feel good that my son is so affectionate. And even though he is autistic he is the most loving autistic boy around.
