I may have found a "long lost friend"

A few weeks ago my sister in law told my husband that he needed to get on Facebook because she was having a blast with it and they could keep up with things there. So, I signed up and checked it out, I had to see how easy or hard it was for my husband. He signed up and is actually having a bit of fun with it. My sister in law has found many friends from school - she moved to a different state and lost touch with many of them. I have only found one person that I went to school with and she actually found me!
Well, today my husband was looking at his sisters photos that she'd posted and for some reason called me over to look at one. When I saw the girls last name that was with his sister in the photo I about screamed! I worked with this girl for about 4 or 5 years, about 10 years ago. I haven't seen her in about 5 years, she saw me at Sam's club once and we talked for a bit. Now I'm going to get her contact info from my sister in law so we can hook up again! This is going to be great!!!!

That is excellent news. I am so glad you have found a long lost friend. This is great.
I joined youtube around one year ago and I uploaded a few videos I had taken from a Take That concert.
I received an email around three months later from one of my friends from school, and who had lived near me in those days also. I had not spoken to her in over 18 years.
She had recognised my nickname from School and checked out my profile. She then emailed me to double check.
We met up a few months ago and it was great seeing her again. We keep in touch too.
The internet is a marvelous invention. I used to curse it. Now I would not be without it.
I hope you have a great time with your friend. You will 'like myself' have plenty to talk about.

I can't wait to see her again! She's going to come over to see my sister-in-law over Thanksgiving (not quite 2 weeks away). She'll probably stay at my house since she lives over an hour away. I am very excited about it!

That is wonderful! I have been checking to see if there are any of my old friends on Facebook. I have found a few. There are many that I have lost track of and would love to reconnect with. Happy for you that you have found your good friend.

There are a few people I would love to find, and I'm still looking... It was really cool to find out about this one girl. I think I may have known my sister-in-law through her 7 years before I met my husband!!!

Everyone keeps telling me I should get facebook. I have myspace and have connected with people I havent seen in years . I guess I need to go sign up and see what it is all about.I haven't ever been there. Congrats on finding your old friend .I think I will go try it out . hugs Jodi

It's kinda cool, I do like the way it works better than MySpace. It seems more user-friendly to me. MySpace seems to have too much junk for me - my sister calls it "bling".

that is so cool, i have been on the search for some of my friends from school for the last 10 years and have not even come close. I wish that I could find them. You are so lucky that you found someone from your past and has memories with. Cool!!

I have not had much luck in the past trying to find old friends. This is so funny though! I am hoping that my sister in law gives me the girls e-mail address so we can get back in touch. We're also planning a surprise for my sister in law that we need to make sure this girl knows about. This is just awesome!
