Could you hear me yelling YES and leaping from my chair. At last a way to get rid of some of the clutter. I think this will only work in the US, but maybe the rest of you can look for something like it where you live. Love this article Mailbox Makeover Reduce catalog clutter and help the environment The holiday season is approaching, which can only mean one thing—more catalogs! Just because you (or a previous resident) ordered a Lands’ End sweater in 1997 does not mean you need a new catalog from them every week. Not only is this annoying, but also it’s extremely wasteful. There are a few free services that can help you opt out of receiving catalogs and other marketing materials: DMA Choice helps you block unwanted credit offers, catalogs, magazine offers, and other junk mail from turning up in your mailbox. To get rid of those annoying credit card offers, the site includes a link to optoutprescreen.com, which is the Consumer Credit Reporting Industry’s official website used to process opt-ins and opt-outs for credit and insurance offers. To decline catalogues and magazine offers, the site includes links to customer service websites, email addresses, and other contact information that is helpful in opting out. While this website does not offer tricks or services that you could not get without signing up, it is helpful to have all of this information in one place. Catalog Choice is another free service, sponsored by The Ecology Center, that helps you opt out of even the most stubborn catalogs that cannot seem to loose your address. By using the name, address and customer number to which the catalog is addressed, the site opts out for you. It sometimes takes a couple of months to see a reduction in junk mail, but it does work. Use one or both of these free services to make room in your mailbox for holiday cards and gifts from loved ones, and save some trees in the process.

Well help is on my way to get rid of some clutter, a bag came through the door this morning and they want clothes/toys etc for a charity. So I have filled the bag and half way through the next bag. Roll on Tuesday when they come to collect the bags and fingers crossed that I don't go and take anything out of the bags. So like you my prayers have been answered although in a slighty different way
