Hang Over and water intake

I have seen many of my friends complain about hang over in the morning when they drink little too much the previous night. How many of you have experienced a hang over? And I have heard that drinking as much water as you can before you sleep on the night you have drunk a lot helps you avoid a hang over or at least lessen the intensity of it the next morning. The theory is that hang over is a result of the heavy dehydration caused by the alcohol intake and replenishing the body with the lost water would take out the real cause of the hang over. What is your experience and comment on this?

You'd probably do even better to drink gatorade instead of water to replenish your electrolytes too and rehydrate your body. I'd believe this because I know some people who will give themselves IV fluids to prevent hangovers. But you can only do that if you're in the medical field and have access to IV fluids.

Whenever I go out and have a few drinks, I make sure I drink a couple of glasses of water right before I go to bed. Alcholol is definitely dehydrating. I always feel better in the morning and not so hung over if I do this.

Quality drinks with 2 to 3 peg and fruits in the diet wont cause hang over. You can rise energetic early in the morning.
