Mono???

I was told that my daughter has mono yesterday. She is 8 years old. I was just woundering if there are any suggestions as to help her get through this hard time she is having? Her lymph nodes on her left side are really swollen right now any ideas on how to help stop the pain? Thanks for you advice.

Ibuprophen is best for inflammation of any kind. She will need lots and lots of rest! My son had it last year and it would actually kind of come and go. He would feel like he had energy and then he would just get tired out again. It lasted like that for a couple of months.

Sorry it took so long for me to respond. I have been with my girl taking care of her. Thanks for the suggestions, I have now switched from tylenol to ibuprophen and that has helped alot. I will also try the warm compress and that as well. Thanks for your help.
