We are going to the cemetery today. We will be paying respects to my grandmother. My daughter is her namesake. We should visit more often. We usually make it 3-4 times a year. How often do you visit the cemetery of your loved ones? Do you think you should visit more?

I do not make it to the cemetery very often. There can be a certain value in reflecting upon one's mortality and remembering loved ones lost. However, I have never been particularly and terribly close to anyone who has passed.

We get once a year usually since our family cometary is out of state
. My mom would love to be able to go more but with the way things are and prices fluctuate it is a luxury we cannot afford right now

I definitely believe I should visit my father's grave more often. I only the grave about once a year. It is where most of our family is buried, so I really should make it a point. He is buried in a different town than I live, but I get pretty close to there at least 5 or 6 times a year. It wouldn't be that far away. I guess I really should make the effort to drive that extra few miles more often.
Thanks for starting this discussion. You have given me a lot to think about. Hope you have a great day!

I take my kids to the cemetary to my fathers grave on Fathers Day and on Memorial Day. I don't like going there because he is in a moseleum and it smells very funny in there. My kids like going, so I really should take them more often.
Last time we went my kids each brought my dad a little gift and put it in with his flowers. One put a fruit roll up in there and the other put a penny in. I am going to be interested to see if they are still in the vase when we go back.
