Cremation or Burial?

My mom always told us kids that she NEVER wanted to be cremated. She even put that in her will. In October we were able to grant her wishes with a proper burial. My best friend on the other hand, told me that she wanted to be cremated when she dies. She doesn't want to be put in the ground. She wants her ashes spread in The Park Of Roses in Ohio. My uncle always said that he never wanted to be cremated because he didn't want the chance of being burned twice! LOL I don't want to be cremated. I've seen how it is done. I know It won't really matter because there will be no life in my body. It's just the thought of my own body being burnt up is a horrible thing for me. What do you think?

im pretty sure that after oh 100 years all the cemetaries will have to be dug up anyway to make room for something, a mall, i dont know, im going with cremation and then the ashes in some beautiful river or something

I agree with this! Cremation is a good way to go. Spreading the ashes into a river is something that I have always heard about. :)

I think the thought of digging up cemetaries to build something else is a horrid thought! I guess it's been done? But I guess if you are going to be cremated a river would be the best and beautiful place!

it all depends on the person and what they want to do. a lot of people get cremated that want there ashes spread somewhere cause that place is close to them like some surfers want there ashes spread in the ocean. my mom was buried, and personally i think i want to be buried. i know a lot people that want to be cremated when they die though, all depends on the person.

It's also been the tradition in my family to be buried. I can't think of anyone in my family that has been cremated. I've run into a lot of people that think cremation is the way to go. Not for me!
