I saw some really hateful things at times..Why are people prejudice..Why do some people think they are better then others? What gets in the minds of some people to think they are so good that they can write such hateful things about people..I am sure the people that right racial or hateful things can be so much worse then what they point out in others.?

It might be because people tend to compare themselves with others forgetting the fact that there are always better and lesser persons than themselves. The act is a true cause for hatred either for oneself or for others.

Yes..I belive you on that: it's all about comparisons..when we start to put ourselves side by side with others ..the risk of thinking we might be better then the other person..but no two people are alike . As different as each individual fingerprint is so are we all different.. When you bury us 6 feet under and all the flesh decays the bones all look alike ..

yea i know what you mean, i go home, to a racist family, a prejudice family, a family that will bad talk anyone who they dont believe is "acceptable" in their lifestyle, or in their life in general. for example, this whole political election is starting to irk me off! i mean there are ammendments in place that make any individual able to run for presidency, i say get over it! the man did not crawl his way up to where he is, he went to school, he worked hard to become senator, and now look where it got him! but to answer your question it comes from a lifestyle, or a cultural belief. it comes from how a child was taught, brought up in the household and at school. it comes from arrogant people who think they are God or soemthing, when the one and only truly God is not even on this realm.

I know what you are talking about there..I actually saw a very bad insult made against the President Elect's WIfe..I didn't respond to the nasty remark but sure did send it off to mylot..Things like that are immature and uncalled for. I know alot of my family are similar to yours...and I live in an area that could split down the middle with some being "confederate" in ideas and therefor racists in speech..but not everyone ..I would say there are so many good christian people..but even CHristians can be racists and prejudice.

Personally, I am not prejudice towards others. I may not date a certain race, but it doesn't mean that I am discriminating against them. I think that people are prejudice is because of the way that they have been raised. I think you learn your values from your parents and they have a direct say in your life until you are pretty much of age.

Just a curious question arising from your comment: Why wouldn't you date a "certain race" .. If I were seeking someone to be a companion with me..which I am not..but if I were race would not be any determining factor.. I think What's inside a person is the most important thing for compatability..whether the two personalities get along. I don't know how many divorces there are in the world..but would love to see how they are classified..How many married people of the same race divorced vs those who married those of another race..
