DO you think Kevin Peterson misread the pitch on the morning of the first ODI. The green grass patch on the pitch prompted Kevin to choose bowling after winning the toss. But what he doesn't realize is that on indian pitches the grass is not grown but simply sprinkled the previous day and rolled in. Its not live grass and so doesn't assist in swing. Once the morning moisture in the pitch is lost the grass is but useless as far as assistance to bowler is considered.
Even Dhoni wanted to bowl but his reason for that was the early start. In the end I believe it was a good toss to lose.
What is your opinion?

Hi.
I don't think so.
The Indian team was just too good on that day and no matter they batted first or second they would have won.
As far as the pitch goes, Bowling first would have been the first choice for any out side captain. The pitch just looked like a bowl first one.
