Was it a song? A speech? A play? I've recently had to memorize a lot of dialogues for my foreign language class and its kind of difficult. But also, I had to memorize a short speech for a graduation ceremony, which is slightly terrifying in a way. Also, I use a lot of short term memory for tests - especially history. What was the hardest or worst thing you had to memorize?

Early in my computer education I had to memorize a lot of things about how a cpu processes information. They were boring and had nothing to do with what I wanted to do, which was to write code, so I hated it. I used little tricks to remember them as I recall but can't think of any examples now.

To me, it would have to be all the math equations that I had to know for a tests. they all seemed so similar to me that I used to get them mixed up. In the end I had to cram them right before the tests and soon as the tests started I would just right them down real quick on a scrap of paper. that is not considered cheating so I passed that loophole. But yea, I'm a crammer at heart so I don't remember most of the information that I had to memorize. Sometimes I did have to do a performance when I was younger and it was usually a poem or something like that. My greatest fear was choking right there and forgetting all my lines. It never happened though since my mom made me practice over and over again. Maybe I should have had her help me memorize those math equations.

"Adios Patria Adorado", the Spanish Versions of Jose Rizal's Poem " Goodbye my Motherland." It was so funny because I did not understand half of what I was orating with gusto and matching action. it was a final requirement that we orate the poem in front of the class, way back in college. It is good , they no longer require spanish as a subject in college.
