Quite frankly there is hardly anything on tv these days that kids should be watching with or without parental input! Nick Jr and ones like that are usually okay, but when 2 Stupid Dogs and ones like that come on - those are just not for kids - the title already teaches them that it is okay to call people stupid and gives them ways to compare people to the show and call others stupid, etc. Hanana Montans - okay, it is not my kind - I get exhausted just watching that girl's facial expressions! But the kidslike it - I have watched it and quite frankly dont' see what the girls see in it! Although I guess every show is about her trying to so something wrong but make it right in the end. THing is, kids see that and think that no matter what they do, they can fix it and all will be fine. LLife ain't like that but then again, I guess they can watch and have some fun. I am just relaly down on tv these days cause there is so much trash on and it is all deemed acceptable. My 2 grand daughters love Blue's Clues and Max and Ruby and My Little Pony and Flipper and many for "the olden days" that have come back or have just stayed pure and childlike so that they can learn and have fun and have "friends" on tv.

Sorry - I kind of went off the wrong track there! You can see my disatisfaction with tv these days and not just for kids! But when my grand daughters 8 and 2 come to my house, the last thing they want or ask to do is turn the tv on! They do watch it at their homes, but at Nanny's house, there are to many other things to do beside sit in front of the tv. We cook and bake and do crafts and read and play with their toys and take walks and make up imainary things - we have Secret Agent day and go on adventures to find bugs (can't believe these 2 beautiful little girls love bugs so much!) and play board games and the 8 yo old has spoken that she doesnt' want to watch tv here unless she is eating, then she will but when the food is gone, so is the tv. I don't mind that as I have the disney movies and really good kids shows on VHS (the good ones from the "Olden day" and current ones) and while she eats and watches, I use that time to get things ready for hte next craft or adventure or just other things she's going to want to do.

i dont have kids , but as kids we used to watch a lot of tv. always my parents will object to this. but i recommend that less tv watching is good for the kids and they should avoid over exposure!!
