Have Your Heard God's Voice

I just survived a miserable life a couple of years ago trying to get out of a relationship... a relationship which totally teared me apart ... nothing else is left of me. Faith is the only thing I've got...my faith that God will get me out of the relationship for I don't have the courage and strength to do it myself. I believe God replied to my prayers through different mediums - in my dreams, in my email and even in text messages. These were some of His lines...so as I believe they were: "Why be afraid to lose this one, for look at your right, that one is yours", "Don't you hear me? I said I'll be giving you sunshine after the rain?" I shiver every time I remember this. I know that God does not choose the people He answers. It's just up to us to listen and allow Him to do His will.
I don't know how you'll react to this...but every bit of it is true.

I understand what you had written and I know it is true. I believe that sometimes hardships, difficulties, problems and failures come on our way just to remind us that there is God. In this busy world, majority of us are so absorbed with what we are doing. Sometimes, some people do not worship or think God at all but worship and think of money itself. The only desire is to gain money and power.But we have to understand that we are here on earth because of God.We must appreciate His love for us and remember Him all the days of our lives.That is how can reciprocate His love for us.

I wonder why we have to experience misery just to remind us to slow down. Only if we could change our lives and be less materialistic and have more time for God...

I agree with you, God moves through different mediums. When we had a big problem with our baby's health and we (my husband and I ) were clinging to each other and to Him for strength, he talked to us through the people who helped us surpass that phase early in our marriage. All those people who helped pray for my baby was a way of God talking to us.
Sometimes, we just need to be attentive with what is going on around us, God is present.

True indeed. Just as we enter a relationship with other people, I think we should have a personal relationship with God too.
