Books VS Internet Surfing

Internet Surfing is better than books...

i feel it's a life style,it is hard to say which is the best...

Although I spend a lot of time online, I would still pick books over surfing the net. I'm a reader, and I love to read. In fact, it would be safe to say, I'm addicted to reading. In fact, its funny that most of the time I spend online is either searching for books, frequenting discussion boards about my favorite books, hanging out goodreads.com, which is a book lover community...You get the point. So basically, I use the internet to help feed my book addiction..LOL..

This is a good discussion and I am sure there are a lot of people out there who like books,and prefer to spend time reading books,whether it be at while sitting at home at night with a good book,or whether it be going to a library and either sitting there and reading a book,or borrowing a couple good books and I am sure there are people out there who prefer to read books than to surf the internet and then I am sure there are people who like the internet better,and prefer to spend time on the internet surfing for different things,then they do when it comes to books or reading books,and there is a lot you can learn from reading books which it helps you broaden your mind,and you can learn interesting things,and at the same time you can learn a lot from surfing the internet since there are so many different sites that you can go to,and a lot of different things you can learn,and you can even do online shopping online which is more convenient,and it keeps you from having to spend gas money to go to a store to buy something,which is good since gas prices keep fluctuating,and I do like reading books,and I think books are very important and my fiance has been reading to me lately,and I like when she reads to me because I can focus on what she is reading,and I can remember everything that she has read to me,but at the same time the internet and surfing it is very important,especially since me and my fiance can not find jobs right now and we spend as much time on the internet making money so we can survive,especially since we are saving for,and planning our wedding which is set for September of next year,so we have a lot to get an plan and not a lot of time to do it,and before long it will be January and we will have to make the invitations and we are not sure exactly what we want them to look like.

I would say that it's "Book" as my choice but internet for nowaday life is also very important.

i would love to read books. books can actually take you to a new world and you will be having an impact on you even after reading the book.whereas i feel internet surfing is only a part-time of happiness and its too short when compared to reading books. moreover reading makes you improve your vocabulary...so i always prefer reading books than surfin....

Hi there Hip! I will definitely choose the internet. There are a lot of things that you can do with the internet aside from studying or reading for entertainment purposes. You can chat, talk to people from the different parts of the world. Learn about them, their country, their culture. You can also download music and videos, still educational for there are lots of how-to videos in the internet and it is like actual education. You also have different options to choose from. Although the credibility of some of the information in the internet is quite questionable because everything is just posted by other people, you can check different things about the write-up or article that may prove its credibility like the website itself. The information in the internet is also more up-to-date since books take longer time to get published.

If I were to choose, I would rather choose books. But of course, internet surfing is very helpful to us but sometimes being in front of the computer for too long is unhealthy. Anyway, if we will talk about usefulness, internet is really important because you can easily see the information you want to know.

In my opinion, books should be your primary tool for learning information, and the internet should be used as an enrichment tool.
