Have you ever read something that made you regret the ending?

I really hate the feeling when I don't like how the story ended. You know like, you might want to go back in time and take the pen out of the author and write it just how you want it to end. Haha! I really sound frustrated, do I? Well, I had been reading this book, The Key To Rebecca by Ken Folett and I was shocked by how it all ended. Hmmm.. I may be just overreacting but I liked Wolff's character, so I did not like him defeated at the end. It's not that I like the Germans to win, I just want to see him triumph over Vandam. So, have you? Please share it to me.

hehe .... if i'm not sure that i'll get the end that i want, i peak at the ending before starting to read the book. i know its cheating but i read to relax so as much as possible i'd like to read a "feel good" book.

haha! ur cheating alright.. but its not a crime in this case.. lol as for me, i do not take a peek at the ending first because it takes away the suspense and thrill... who doesn't want to read a "feel good" book?
