what do you think happened to friendster site????//

Actually, friendster are having a problem right now. I read in my profile that there's something problem with their main site which is in california. Here are some message that I have read from friendster: What happen to my friends? Friendster team: Currently, the number of friends in the friendslist is being displayed incorrectly. Are my friends lost permanently? FS team: No. The data of all friends connections are intact and not lost. What caused this problem? FS team: There was a building - wide power outrage at the QTS/Global data center in Sunny Vale California USA where friendster servers are co - located, along with 50 other costumers. As a result, the memory caching of data was affected. Since friendster has 85 million users,the cache is taking a considerable amount of time to build. Once the cache has been completely built, all friends will reappear. Anyway,you can see the rest of the message to your friendster profile. Hope this helps.

well, i heard somewhere that they were upgrading the database system in there and someone accidentally knocked some of the server which cause this huge downtime they having...

friendster is encountering problems right now.there are times when the system is ok,and there are also times when it's not.i guess they're having problems due to growing number of members of the site.hopefully,they will be able to solve that so we can enjoy friendster without any glitches at all.guess we,members have to understand and be patient about this.
