A letter came from you You are with child, you are well, everyone is well I am all too well to hear from you You know me too growing well with your child Growing well in passing years With everything else like the old trees Like the fiddling good old violins Growing older than the surpassing sky well over the moon Well above you and me, well above the children The children too leaping well With the croaking frogs in blistering cold The northwesterly wind coughing well Without hunger or thirst, the children wishing all well Crying in spells of rains without so much tears Without darkness in twilight street they are sparking bonfire There is food, there is water There is hope and longing in the big house In sweltering heat or sweating cold There is no fear to scare your child, o my dear All will be well, all will be sleeping well Oneday you will get my letter, I am well and everyone is well Your child will be pressing well against your soft bosom And be listening all ears to your old wives' tales When the midnight sun breaks into full moon for the rising dawn All will be eating well, all will be drinking well When you will be getting my letter oneday at your child's first cry All will be wishing for your child's blessings Sure, all will be all too well when you will be getting my letter.
