Is it better to know what you did wrong in a failed relationship or would you rathen not know so you can move on and put the incident behind you?. Some may say if you know then you can correct the mistakes if you are at fault or atleast avoid the pitfalls in the future Others may say its best you dont know that way you spend less time analysing and working up yourself over it.This is especially a useful technique for compulsive worriers who will stress themselves in the post mortem, the "if I " and "why didnt I " - the unending questions.

I think it is best to know so as next time you enter another relationship you do not do the same mistake. But most times the other party are not sincere enough to tell you where you went wrong. Not knowing cause you to spend lots of time worrying "where did i go wrong? what did i do or didn't do?" So i think it is best to be told.

It would be nice to know. But since it takes two people to build a relationship, I wouldn't want to take full responsibility for it having failed. And sometimes we just can't know.
