I am looking for suggestion for a space heater, what brand should I buy

I am thinking about purchasing a space heater. I don't want to heat the whole house since I only use two rooms. I figure with the portable heater I will save some money. I am looking for suggestions on what type to buy. I need one that is energy efficient and does not cost to much.

there's a wonderful heater that cost about $300 but it heats a 1000 sq feet. It's cool to the touch so it won't hurt any children or pets. And it's run thru the electricity. I honestly cannot think of the name of it. But I have friends that bought it and they love it because they really do save a lot through the winter months since they live in New York. Once I find out the name I'll be sure to let you know.
