I was thinking about all the different Christmas drinks there are out there. Some of the most popular and tasty traditional Christmas drinks are Eggnog,Hot coco or hot chocolate with matshmellows, Hot Mulled Wine, Wassail, Hot Toddies, Punch, Glogg, Possets but the stupendous popularity of the soft drinks have lead them to slowly creep into the traditional drinks category and now more number of youngsters are resorting to Pepsi Cola Spice Combinations. What is your tradional Christmas drink?

We have two drinks that are traditional in our home. The first, on Christmas eve, is a 'Snuggler'...hot chocolate with a bit of peppermint schnapps and whipped cream. It helps us sleep through the noise Santa makes on the roof each year. The second, on Christmas Day, is warmed eggnog with a bit of rum in it, sprinkled with cinnamon. We serve is just before dinner as an appetizer. While people are drinking it, it gives me (the cook) time to finish all the last-minute details of the dinner. If it's a frazzled year, while I'm in the kitchen, sometimes I have rum with a bit of eggnog-and skip the cinnamon...lol

I don't really drink alchohol. I will usually have a glass of Egg nog. My wife will sometimes make some kind of a punch and that is pretty good. But mostly during the holidays I drink what I normall drink. Some kind of cherry Pepsi or Coke. My wife recently got me in to the Diet Cherry Pepsi, so I imagine I will be drinking that this year. On New Years Eve I will usually have a small glass of champaign.

eggnog - nice carton of eggnog
I guess if i had to choose one christmas drink and because it is usually only out at christmas time i would have to say it is the all popular eggnog. I have never made it homem amde but i might try it this year . probably better than store bought eggnog anyday.

I love eggnogg as well. My grandma use to make a very good homemade eggnog. I am not sure hwo she did it. As she has since past away. But I wish I knew her recipe. As I have not been able to recreate it no matter how much I try.

We don't really have a traditional Xmas drink but egg nog, wassail, and hot chocolate with marshmallows would be on my list if we did. Hey thanks for following me. I didn't realize we were not following each other here at myLot. I see you elsewhere on the Internet. Followed you back.
