Does your mail come like clockwork?

My mail carrier used to come everyday at about the same time. It would be well before noon when my mail arrived, which was great, especially if I was waiting for something important. Well these past few days I'm wondering what has happened to my mail carrier. I got no mail at all on Friday or Saturday, and here it is 1:30 in the afternoon and the mail carrier has still not come yet. I put mail in the box for the mail carrier to deliver, and it hasn't been taken yet. I find it odd that she hasn't gotten here yet. I'm a bit paranoid that she's been skipping my house for some reason. Do you ever feel like that when you don't get mail? Does your mail carrier come at the same time everyday? Do you worry if it doesn't come on time?

Not the same time no- which annoys me, because its boring knowing that you might not have received mail, but then you might receive it later. I would rather just have it the same time everyday. But i cant complain- the mail man is really nice.

They expected via mail or a delivery service? I am the type that watches for deliveries like this mtself. The regular mail I don't worry about when it comes. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I hadn't thought that it may perhaps be a different person carrying our mail after their own route. That would explain why it is late. I hope that is the case because I too am anxiously awaiting something important.

Our mail usually comes around 10 I think. I don't pay real close attention but it is always there before lunch time. I don't really notice if our mail carrier comes late. We can't send mail out in our box since we live in town, so if we don't get mail the carrier would just skip our house. Maybe your carrier is cutting corners and not stopping at your house if you don't get any mail. I would keep an eye out and if you are putting your flag up and she isn't getting your mail then put in a call to the post office and see what is going on.

Well the carrier did end up coming that day, just rather late. I hadn't gotten mail for 2 days straight which had me nervous, but I did that day. It must have been a different carrier, because my usual carrier is here before lunch as well, usually at the same time each day.

My mail comes Monday thru Friday between 11:30 and Noon. On Saturdays it is normally here around 11 am. I am not sure why it is earlier on Saturdays.

Mine is here earlier on Saturdays too. Their day ends earlier, so maybe they get some part time people to help take over parts of the route for the regular carrier and that makes it quicker?

That is a possibility. I never thought of that. I know sometimes I do have a different guy drop off the mail. I figured it was a sub.

I never really notice when my mail comes since I only check it once a week. But I will check it everyday if I'm waiting for something important and most of the time it comes well past the due date that it should have been here. I think I'm jinxed when it comes to stuff like that. If it's really something I need now it never comes on time when I need it. The bills always do come on time though. Go figure. I don't think you're mail carrier is avoiding you though because that's against the law, but if you feel insecure about it then you can ask her next time you see her passing by.

Actually there was a time when I didn't get my mail for a whole month. They had just decided to stop delivering to me because my mail box wasn't secured, but they never told me. So I get insecure now whenever I don't get mail for a couple days in a row.

We used to have this mail lady that brought your mail every day at the exact same time. You could set your watch by her. But that's been many years ago. Our mail now might come anytime late in the afternoon or early evening! One night last week, she didn't come until after 7:30! We don't know the problem there unless she had car trouble. But it's usually 4:30 or later when our mail arrives, even on Saturday when the post office isn't even open that late.

If I knew it wouldn't be coming until later, it wouldn't bother me at all. Actually most of the time it doesn't bother me, unless I'm expecting something.

Our mail used to be very predectable. But then three years ago our mail carrier hurt his knee and has not returned to work. Others fell in and it is a different carrier everyday. We used to have the mail by 11 in the morning. Now it arrives any time between 2 in the afternoon and as late as 9 at night. Yes it really has been delivered that late. We have complained to the post office but were told that they were not hiring new carriers and we would just have to be patient. I think three years of patients is to long.

When it is our usual carrier, our mail comes right at about 3 in the afternoon. When it is a sub carrier, it usually more like 5 or 6 in the evening, which is VERY annoying. I like having the mail come at the same time every day. It just keeps our predictible schedule running smoothly. I always feel rather off when the mail comes late. Or it's a holiday in the middle of the week.

I live in an apartment so it's hard to tell if the mail carrier has made it to our complex yet. No flag to watch and all. Unfortunately, when the carrier has lots of mail to deliver, circular days, it can be quite late in the day before she arrives. Then there are the days when we have a sub. Can't say that I like these days since the sub is usually much later than our regular carrier. In the last month I think the sub has come at least 3 times because I have had to get my mail from my neighbors after leaving a very nice note on their doors asking if they got my mail by mistake. It's usually pretty easy to tell when this happens since I get the other neighbors mail instead of my own. It happened again yesterday but I didn't realize it until my neighbor knocked on my door and gave me the mail that was in her box along with a package delivery notice. I sure was glad she got home before the office closed for the day.

Yes, I totally feel like he skips my house sometimes. Before I moved I got a ton of mail everyday, everyday I got SOMETHING. Now I go days without receiving mail and I often wonder if he just throws away the junk mail. I received my sons SS Check very late once and I paniced because I thought he gave it to the wrong address, the reason I thought that is because I continually keep on getting other peoples mail. When this happens, I usually just take it to the house in person instead of making them wait by returning it to the post office, incase it's something important they need right away.

Well, I think it depends on who is delivering the mail. In one city where I stayed it was like we had a different mail carrier every other day. Our mail would come at different times of the day. In the area where I live now, my mail is usually there when I get off of work which is 2:30 central time. Some times it may be an hour late, but it is always timely.

Not a real set time. But minew is here Mon thru Fir by 1 p.m. always. And on Saturdays usually by noon. Unless theres a substitute. Once I did not get mail till 5 p.m. This is the start of the route and the sub started at the end working backwards evidently. I don't worry what time it comes actually. But my dad does as he always asks where's the mail at Bob. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

our mail carrier used to be the most unreliable thing to try to predict. It has gotten better here lately, but it has been as late as 7 PM when we have gotten our mail...

For the most part the mail comes more or less the same time every day yes. I used to get worried if we never had any, I would always think it had been delivered to the wrong address because that is something that seems to happen a lot, well we are always getting others post anyway. Now I do not bother so much as we hardly get any post at all we can go days without having a single thing!

i have a po box now, so yeah it does come like clock work. available for pick up every day as of 10 am. but before i had a po box there was no telling when it would come. i live out in the country and sometimes the mail would come at 2pm, other times it would come at 5-6pm. if at all. The town the post office delivers to is extremely small too, so it wasn't that we were just at the end of a route. It was how late the mail carrier felt like sleeping in. There were more times too that you'd get someone elses mail in your box. i remember one time that the whole route was off and everyones mail was one house down in their neighbors mailbox.
