Housing problem in USA has exploded into a global financial crisis. It is estimateed that the present financial cirsis is likely to lead the loss of some 20 million jobs world wide. The victims have to find new jobs when their company closes. Has this crisis affected you now? What's your opinion about it

It hasn't affected me yet, personally, but it may soon. The parent company of the company I work for has instructed my boss that our budget needs to be reworked and cut. I am the most vulnerable in the office because I have completed developing the programs and databases I was originally hired to develop and now simply maintain and run them...among various other general accounting functions. There is already someone trained to act as my back up for when I'm on vacation so my responsibilities can easily be divided among those in critical positions. I am considered a tech luxury as far as I am concerned so it won't surprise me if my position is eliminated. Fortunately, my husband and I are in a position to live without my income without much fuss if it comes to that.

It seems more and more common now. Some friends of mine have faced this fact. Unfortunately, several of them have to pay for car, house and education of kids. What I can do now is to bless the crisis over as soon as possible
