On the local television news, a story said that that there were a number of stealing from cemetery tombs. Some statues and other valuable items have been reported stolen. It is simple shame that we have resorted to stealing even from cemeteries. © ronaldinu 2008

That is a true shame, that people steal from cemetaries, or anywhere. They should just let those people rest in peace. Things are placed there for a reason, and they are not placed there to be stolen. I hope that they're stuff is found and placed back where it was. May those people rest in peace.

People who would do that are absolutely sick. What is it that causes people to sink to such lows? A real shame. I think that regardless of what is placed there, a memorial should be respected, and left alone, expect for the people who are there to maintain it.

It is horrible that people do it but they do. I personally do not know how anyone could live with themselves doing such a horrible thing. I think it is even worse when it is a childs grave and the teddies and toys are taken from it.

This has been going on for years. My 19 month old grandson is gone. Every time we put things, toys, angels, flowers, etc. on his grave site it all disappears. He loved toy trucks so we put them on there for him and a statue of and angel was taken. If it's not attached to the headstone and embedded there it leaves his site. It's a shame that people feel the need to take what others put out for our loved ones.

I agree with you, but unfortunately this most dispicable prsctice has a babit of getting worse in difficult financial times. I thing you will find the perpetrators are usually people in need more than hardened criminals.

YEARS ago I had a friend that just moved in with these 2 people ( new roomates) and this house that she moved into was decorated to look like a cemetery in their living . Her roommates had all of these tomb statues of angels and mother mary & etc items all over the place. One night when I was over visiting my friend her roommates came walking in the front door with their arms full of cemetery angels statues and I said jokingly " So, did you guy's rob a graveyard or something?" and the guy said " uhuh, yeah we did" and he was serious!.. I though it was a bit disrespectful for them to do that because these departed people's loved one's place those statues on friends and family members graves out of respect and love and then here come some immature disrespectful people and they steal it. These people were into black magic and the house they lived in was haunted because because they were always doing things they were not suppose to be doing. My friend didn't live there for very long after her grave robbing strange roommates stole a lot of her clothing and shoes then skipped out when my friend wasn't there and left her by herself with the empty rent house and stuck her with the bills.

Oh yes even the cemeteries have been invaded by this ruthless thieves! Here in our place, they usually steal from the rich Chinese tombs because they could really find so many valuable items there. If ghosts indeed are true, why can't they pop up in front of the thieves while stealing is taking place?

There are truly some sick minded people in our society, how can anyone stoop so low as to steal from cemeteries, it doesn't bear thinking about? Are they that desperate? Is no where safe? Evidently not, it's a sad day when not even cemetries are safe from thieves.

Yes it is a shame. Here people are stealing tha plants and lanterns etc from graves. Grieving relatives come to visit the grave and find it robbed. I cannot find words to describe what I think about these people and their evil crimes.

Hi Ronaldinu, This is digusting, how low can people stoop. I know now why other than my close family and friends (and my myLot friends) I prefer animals as at least they just survive only causing harm to eat or to protect. This is so sad to hear. Huggles. Ellie :D

I have heard this before, it is so bad and awful, as bad as stealing things from a church. I'm sure the items taken are not really worth anything to the thevies but to the family they are worth everything. I'm sure they just get a kick and a thrill out of doing this. Someone ought to do the same to them and see how they like it.

Sorry to say this, but things are just getting started, the worse the financial situation gets the more robbery there will be.
