I just bought kefir in low fat milk form cause i heard that it's good for immune system. Has anyone tried this? Did you see a difference in a week?

i have never tried the kefir sold pre-packaged, as it's not supposed to be as beneficial as making it yourself at home! when made traditionally from home, it produces C02 (the fizzy stuff in soda pop drinks), and this makes it pretty hard to package safely for public commercial consumption. the C02 produced, will continue to 'grow', which means eventually it could cause the container to explode ;)
so the stuff sold in stores, has stabilizers or something like that, to make it shelf-safe. the health benefits are probably better than eating regular yogurt, but there are much better benefits to make it at home. plus, it's a fun science experiment :D
