Ok here's the deal...my credit it stinks..caput down the drain. but I need a cell phone. I can afford to purchase one but evryone want an outrageous deposit. Am I doomed to be a pre-paid for the rest of my life( or until I clear up my credit score)?! Does anyone have Any suggsetions. any websites or deals they have heard about? Any suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated. And thanks in advance for the comments.

Check out Virgin Mobile, they have some nice monthly plans that include unlimited nights and weekends after 7 pm. I don't see the difference if you pre pay your phone or get billed and pay after, your still getting good cell phone service and going with an unlimited plan you never have to worry about getting a big bill. Good luck.

you should check out metropc. i know people that have it and its very cheap. its like $35 a month and you have unlimited minutes. as long as your in your calling area which is pretty much your city. there getting very big and i see stores everywhere now. go to there website and see if you can get it where you live. its a great deal and you do not have to sign a contract or get your credit checked.

T-Mobile has great pre-paid plans some are like 40 dollars for 400 minutes i think i wish i knew about that since i was on a pre-paid plan 40 dollars for - 80 yes you read right... 80 minutes... the good thing is that you have free nights and weekends, and the minutes you DONT use are rolled over when you pay again ;) the plans are getting cheaper so pre-paid isn't so bad actually. You don't get tied up with a contract for a year or two... You could fix your credit by first getting a credit report yes you'd have to fork over a few dollars but you then can see what is making your credit so crappy... you can't fix it if you don't know where to start. If your main issue is credit cards paying the minimum payment isn't going to get you anywhere. Cut back on some expenses and pay off as much as you can. I borrowed from my mom... i paid off the credit card debt within a few months with her help. And THEN paid HER back ASAP but without interest ;) There are a ton of ways to slowly but eventually fix your credit. The important thing is to pay off debts because then you wont have outstanding payments that will reflect badly, rather just a bad history of paying which with time will go away as you build up credibility for paying on time ;) Hope that helps.
