On November 14, 2008, a bamboo car was invented by researchers in Kyoto University in Japan. Called "BamGoo," this one-seater car is completely made out of bamboo and weighs 60kg. The object of the car is to be an eco-friendly electric car. The BamGoo can go for 30 miles on a single charge. The car was displayed in Kyoto City, Japan. However, the car is pretty controversial, especially since it's 60kg and made out of bamboo, not to mention it can only go for 30 miles at a time.

After the bamboo bicycle, another invention of bamboo car. If used as the car housing, it might be a substitute, but the rigid linkage with the interior will be tough. Safety and durability must be guarantee before it can be launched.

That's interesting. I haven't heard about this before. I wonder which engine does that car use? It won't be able to withstand a small crash.
