If dating and marriage go together that's what it should be called. I was also thinking that that's probably where "Mating" came from- MArriage and daTING. Does that mean you should mate on your dates before your married? If so, why should you wait until marriage to mate?

Nice analogy of words. I think it will totally depend on the partners. If one disagrees then the other should respect the wishes of the partner. It should always be done with the consent of the partner always.
