My son visited his aunt last sunday and when he came home he brought with him a knitted jacket of his late grandpa and told me that his aunt give it to him...actually im not against of him wearing it..but in my deepest thoughts its kind of a weird thing for me to wear such clothing of our dead parents or relatives..what about you guys do you think its good to wear it..?

I have one of my father's jackets and a visor my mother wore when she golfed....I love wearing them. It makes me feel even closer to them now that they are gone! I don't think there is anything wrong with wearing the clothes of someone who has passed. Sometimes it's comforting!

I think it is an honor to the parent or person that origanny had it. So I do not see a problem with it.

I've worn my Mother's tweed business clothes. I don't see a problem with it.

What does he think about wearing it? If he likes it then let him wear it. If not then maybe have him put it in a garment bag and have it as a keepsake. I wouldn't dispose of it whether you allow him to wear it or not just simply because you don't want to send a not caring message to him. I have shawl of my grandmothers that my mom gave me and to be honest I would never wear it because it is ugly! LOL It wouldn't bother me at all to wear it if it was someting I liked.

When my grandfather passed away my grandmother gave my brothers his clothes. My younger brother has impeccable style and made it work, though some shirts needed t be tailored. I personally wanted my grandfathers robe, every time I went to visit him he was always wearing and associate it with good memories of him. I like little reminders that even though he is gone he is with me. If you are uncomfortable wearing why not make a quilt or have it as a keepsake if it has any enotional meaining to you.
