An archeologist proudly told that he had found four silver coins which,according to the inscription "649B.C.",should now be 2655 years old.The press considered him a fraud and a dreamer.Why?

Since coins were not minted with any foreknowledge of the "coming of Christ" no coin would be minted with a date marked b.c.(before christ.)

You show me any coin minted with b.c. on it, and I guarentee you will be looking at a forgery.
The date being wrong is less a guarantee of a forgery than the letters b.c.
