I think money is god to most people you need money to pay bills, buy food ect. They say money makes the world go round, money power respect where does god come in. If god is the one why dont i here people sreaming his name in every store when the cashier tells you your total is 50 dollars. We have our preachers asking us for money every sunday so they to can pay their bills, why dont they just give the message of god for free they cant cause even they are slaves to money. It all go's back to money so maybe money is our god, and maybe god is just another way to get money.

What a question!! The two shouldn't even be placed in the same category. Such sayings about money speaks volumes about people's attitude towards it, not its intrinsic value. As someone had already shared here, "the LOVE of money is A ROOT of ALL kinds of evil" according to the Bible. "...maybe money is our god..." That's true for a lot of people, but not all. If it drives you, it is your god; if you manage it, you're simply using it as a means to live. It can ruin your life, or you can use it for good. Each person has his own choice about this.

Please understand that money can buy anything but God can destroy everything. Maybe you can buy wealth, but you cannot buy health, you can buy a house but not a home. The purpose of money is to satisfy a need but the meaning of power is different. Happy my lotting

Money is more powerful than god to most people, because at the end of the day money rules them. When people are hungry they do not call god they calls for money and do whatever it take to get it. People love for money makes them all servant to it and even if they don't spent it they just want to have it.

I agree that money commands respect. All the rich, successful people are being looked up to because of the money they're making. They can afford the world, as others would say, and yes, they seem to become slaves to the money that they're earning. But isn't money the root of all evil? Crimes here and there are being committed because of the money. I think that God is more powerful than anything and anyone in this world. Mnay times this has been proven and if only people would put more trust in God and in what He can do than concentrate on the money and its evils then this world would be a more peaceful place, a place perfect for our future kids.

It tends to seem like it, but you have to remember... God created everything. He created the earth, the land you are on, the air you breath, everything. So, if money is more powerful than God, then why did God create the materials we need to make money? Money isn't more powerful. In fact, American money says "In God we trust," so even the money itself says God is more powerful. Sure, it takes money to tell the word of God, but money is just a cycle. God is much, much more than that, so we all need to respect that.

Welcome to myLot, newbie! I certainly hope you'll find new friends here so you'll see that wherever you live isn't the usual. We all need money to pay bills and we work hard to get it. It could never take the place of faith or our beliefs. We have people from al; over the world here, and from every religion you can imaigne, and most of us are strong in our beliefs. A few are atheists or agnostics, and they often bring that up in discussions. We're pretty much good people here, and most of us worship and love God.

Money money money.. Yes this is the worst problem we are facing today. Wherever we go all are asking for money, not only for paying bills, even to get things done. In the government you can see that money is GOD . But people like you and me, wonder who is more influential, money or GOD. We are not able to accept that either because we have been brought up GOD fearing. There are many who have a second thinking, like you, who is first GOD or money. In Hinduism, we pray to Goddess Lakshmi who is the goddess for money, luck and fortune. Just go through this link. http://www.hindunet.org/god/Goddesses/lakshmi/index.htm You can find out more about this Goddess.

The Bible states that the love of money is the route to all evil. Your question inspires a ponderous answer. Money is an exchange, an IOU for something you have done, redeemable anywhere. How would we feel if we went around doing good thngs for people without reward? So money then has it's value! However society is geared up to make money an issue, an all important factor in survival and 'doingness'. There's not much you can do these days without money. I guess the real issue is quality of life, if we have good friends and home comforts and most importantly security then anything else is adventurous or greed. It is interesting to think deeply on this issue because we can see clearly how in many societies the family unit is falling apart, and old fashioned values cease to exist, placing an even greatrer importance on money. It has become an ever increasing issue to ridicule the Bible and it's stories of creation etc but do we tend to forget or ignore the real message? God created this earth and a garden of paradise was given to us, freely. There was no money. the earth is capable of sustaining us all and it is only man, governments and a need for power or control which has taken away our birthright. Interesting to note then that it was also man, governments and a need for power that killed Christ.

everybody needs money...but the power of God is different in the power of money. money can buy everything, but remember that God is the creator off all things and so He can also destroy things like money. try praying on your own, talk with God, He'll answer all your prayers. just wait and trust everything to HIM. He knows when the best time to answr you ang give the things that you need most.

your though quite make sense. but if you mean God, not god, than I think God is more powerful, not just I think, but I believe. Coz God can make sure you got the amount of money that you need, that you belong. but money can't buy stuff that God can give you, such as: true love

Nope. God is the most powerful. Money is nothing. It's only a lust. Bear in your mind God created everything that's why we are here.

No it is just the lust and greed for it that has a powerful pull, God allows it. But he can take it away any time he wants. He can bring anyone down. Money can buy many things. But not trust, honor, love, truth, honesty, understanding, faith, grace, hope, salvation, repentance, happiness, true friends and more.

im sorry but i disagree that..money is not my God, money or being rich is just one of the way so we can get closer to Allah. coz with that we can help people who needs it or do charity, we can taking care of our parents n their needs with money, we can help our sister/brother, we can be the backbone of our family if we have a mone or being rich..im working and im asking to Allah so He will make it all better for me when im running my business, make it easier for me to earning money to live my life n my family.. So, its a BIG NO for me to say money is my God..
